My name is Kristoffer Trolle. I live in Copenhagen, Denmark, where I spend most of my days being a dad and working as a software developer. When I have a camera in my hands, though, I’m usually out exploring and photographing the world around me.
My photography is mostly about everyday life - the people, the city, and the small details that make a place what it is. I’m drawn to ordinary scenes that somehow stand out, and to documenting the way society and our surroundings change over time. I also have a soft spot for the slightly strange, overlooked, and unexpected corners of modern life.
I’m equally fascinated by the technical side of photography and have used a lot of different camera systems over the years. I was an early fan of Fujifilm X cameras, and I still have a particular fondness for the older X-Trans sensor cameras.
I’ve also shot analog film on and off for many years. These days, when I shoot film, it’s mostly medium format with Cinestill 800T.
More recently, I’ve become fascinated by digital medium format - especially older digital backs and the distinctive images they produce. Some of my favorites have been the absolutely wonderful Kodak DCS Pro Back and the equally interesting Mamiya ZD.
Have a look around, check out my photos, and feel free to get in touch if you have a question or if there’s anything I can help with.
